Bangladesh Bank has asked all the commercial banks to ensure adequate cash in the ATMs during the Eid vacation while making sure enough security.
The banks have also been asked to make sure uninterrupted services in the point of sales, e-payment gateways and mobile financial services, said a central bank circular issued in Dhaka today.
The banks will have to ensure mobile financial services through helplines during the vacation.
In a separate circular, Bangladesh Bank also asked the commercial banks to ensure their overall safety, including cyber security.
The officers of the banks have been advised to remain vigilant through spontaneous monitoring in and outside of their banks.
The circular mentioned that most of the bank branches will remain closed from 9 to 14 September.
